Your Aduana at Silao experience please. - Doyle Phillips - 01-30-2019

My vehicle permit must be extended soon (in conjunction with my Temporary Residency visa).
I hope to have the bloody procedure done at the Aduana in Silao instead of Querétaro.

Have you had such an experience? Thanks.

Today (1 Feb) in about an hour at the Silao aduana I received the extension required.
Far better than having to drive to the aduana at Querétaro.

Were you able to extend your vehicle permit in Silao without having to return to the border? I thought you had to cross over, give up your current permit, and come back and get a new one within the six-month period. Does that apply only to people with tourist cards? I should receive my temporary visa this week and it would be great to be able to extend the vehicle permit here.

When you get your Temp Residency Visa you have 30 days to get your vehicle permit validated at an Aduana office in México.

I got my validation at the Aduana near Silao in about an hour.

Because your car has non-Mexico license plates you will have to leave the vehicle at the guard house and walk a short
distance to the processing office.
