Earlier this month, Ruth Windsor led a fascinating, informative, and well-researched discussion on Dying in Guanajuato. Realizing that this topic is dense and complex, Ruth has compiled a Step-by-Step Guide and Resource Directory for our community’s reference.
This guide illustrates the importance of organizing legal, financial and medical documents prior to our own deaths or mental incapacitations. If we adequately prepare, our survivors hopefully will be less burdened.
The document also details the numerous steps our survivors must follow—How does one get a death certificate? Dispose of the body? Notify local and foreign government agencies?
