Question on housekeepers... - Blackpool - 06-03-2018
We're wanting to hire a housekeeper to come by once a week. All we want is someone who will do basic cleaning and mop the floors. That's what we had done in the states. From reading the threads here on housekeeping, it looks like much more is expected, like multiple visits a week, cleaning clothes, and sometimes even cooking. I don't want to offend any potential housekeeper. If I'm just asking for a basic service of dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and mopping once a week, is that considered offensive? Or am I supposed to pay for more services or visits per week? We just need to know what is expected of us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a cleaning lady that comes twice a month and does only do the basics. She offered to do more but was not offended when I a
said it was not necessary.

I have someone who comes once a week just to clean. She dusts, vacs, mops, cleans up the kitchen and bathrooms. We're both happy with the arrangement.
