Good quality carpenter needed for new door and window - yanajon - 05-08-2018
Can anyone recommend a good craftsmen who could build an new front door and matching window for our house?
We want to use Mesquite, and the door (and window) opening is not a rectangle but a cantera arch, so whoever I find will need some skills.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

We built in La Presa in 2012-13 and used two local carpenters. One proved adequate while the other was simply wonderful. Ivan Dueñas is a young man but highly skilled,creative and reliable. His home and workshop are near Cuevas and his home number 473-731-8053. He did not have a cell # at that time, but I see his truck around town so he is still active here.
He built barstools with cane seats, tables, bookcases and several intricately designed and executed doors. Several of his doors were arched and the exterior units included beveled glass. I would give him a photo of what we wanted and he always delivered perfectly. I am confident he can give you a great result. He and his family ( his mother usually answers that phone) speak limited English.

Ivan has a Facebook page and posts lots of his project picks. He does nice work.

That’s great to hear Mike. Hope it generates loads of work for Ivan, he deserves it.
