Can anyone recommend where in GTO we can purchase high-quality dog food and what brands they might carry? We would like to be certain our pup starts eating that food prior to coming to Guanajuato from the U.S.. Thanks so much!

"High quality" is a personal observation but several vets here sell the "vet only" brands. Availability may vary widely by exact formula and timing of what's in stock.
We feed Beneful which is always available in supermarkets as is Pedigree and of course assorted Purina products.
If you go with a designer-type it may not be consistently available in GTO, small demand, or require trips to an outlet in Leon.

Petco in Léon has an excellent range of foods, Wilderness, Blue Buffalo, Vegetarian, etc. We feed ours Blue Buffalo lamb and sweet potato grain free, it is comparable in price to Pro Plan that we used to buy at our vet here in GTO but the quality is much higher than Pro Plan. The Vets carry Eukanuba, Science Diet, Pro Plan and a few others. We used to feed Eukanuba but it was a problem with getting it regularly.

Thanks everyone so very much for your input. I also was told that Pet 'nGo ships everywhere in Mexico and they, too, have premium foods. Happy to hear there is a Petco as well!
