Try getting in touch with Armando as Casa Carcamanes right above plaza Baratillo. He has rooms there and also manages other rentals. Nice guy, and the Carcamanes location has a café on the ground floor. I don't have a phone number, but if you walk to the café, he or his wife can help you with info. My wife is currently living there until our casita is finished, she has a one bedroom / bath off the kitchen. Very reasonable.
