If you go to the symphonies pre concert talk is it in the concert hall and can you keep your seat for the concert?

Hard to find an answer around here LOL.
Arrived early enough to be about number 15 in line for this opening performance.. I wondered how all those people were seated before the doors opened. This must have been the reason. Still there were a lot of good seats available. This was a great performance and the theater is a great work of art. Really enjoyed.
