The Querétaro area produces the second greatest
amount of opals in the whole round earth. I could go
there to find the opal bearing rocks but am in hope
that there might be a local vendor.
Ever seen the raw opal for sale in Guanajuato?

Have you tried the rock shop near Callejon de Beso? I think it was next door to a barber shop.
