Tapestry Art Opening Tomorrow (Friday) - ruthsgto - 09-30-2010 The group Metzonalli ("Luz de la Luna" in N?huatl) will be displaying its tapestries beginning tomorrow at the Villa Frade Gallery in the Centro (across from El Museo Iconogrofico). The grand opening begins at 7 p.m., and there will be wine, refreshments, and entertainment. This weaving cooperative consists of ten Mexican weavers and two Americans. Some of the tapestries that will be on exhibit were inspired by the photos of Louise Lander, in a series called "Colores de Guanajuato." Attached is the flyer with more information (I hope!). We hope to see many of you there!
