Remittances to pay for wall? - mr bill - 01-25-2017 Remittances to pay for wall: Just thinking - would the use of a US bank issued ATM card in a Mexican ATM be considered a remittance [US money coming into Mexico] and taxed by Trump? The US bank would have to be the enforcer/collector of the tax so if one were to draw say US$500 would one net a lower amount or would a fee be added on top of the withdrawal? Either way it would be painful. RE: Remittances to pay for wall? - pianoheat - 01-26-2017 I've thought about this hopefully it is not the case. But I think and hope money coming from me to me an American should be exempt. Imagine what that would mean for the tourists. Seems over the top that they would get into ATM transaction more likely wire transfers to Mexican citizens and maybe western union type transactions fingers crossed RE: Remittances to pay for wall? - doncoulter - 01-26-2017 It's all bluster. It's all bluster. It's all bluster. Western Union (to give just one example) would scream bloody murder if there were any sort of taxes or restrictions on remittances. |
