laundry and peanut butter - dc22300 - 10-15-2016 hey all just arrived and plan to be here for several months. wondering where folks take their laundry and where to buy peanut butter without additives..also really good brown or whole wheat bread. (any vegetarians out there please send me a note!) cheers douglas RE: laundry and peanut butter - MarionP - 10-15-2016 Easy to make your own peanut butter you just need a food processor. Lots of peanuts at the market to purchase, shell them first of course, put them in the food processor and grind to desired consitancy. I add a little bit of coconut oil to make it a bit creamier. RE: laundry and peanut butter - Erika128 - 10-16-2016 Good luck. Seriously, if you find something let me know, especially bread. And yes, I've tried to make my own but my baking skills are evidently no match for the altitude (among other reasons). As far as peanut butter, La Comer has skippy naturals. RE: laundry and peanut butter - Castro - 10-16-2016 If I'm not mistaking, there is a natural food store called Unicornio Azul across from Baratillo that sells peanut butter minus all the additives. I hope you're able to find it ! RE: laundry and peanut butter - Barbara - 10-17-2016 Yes, there's good, all natural peanut butter at El Unicornio Azul, across from Plaza Baratillo. My favorite vegetarian restaurants are: BHARATI (in Plaza Baratillo), HABIBTI (diagonally across from Teatro Cervantes), and DELICA MITSU (on CampaƱero and another above Plaza San Roque). A few other restaurants, like SANTO CAFE (access on that little bridge above CampaƱero) and LOS CAMPOS (in Plaza Baratillo) always have some good veggie options on their menus. RE: laundry and peanut butter - dc22300 - 10-17-2016 thanks for the info! i love bharati and they make their own bread so might inquire about buying some. |
