A reliable herrero? - DavidR - 09-12-2010
I am looking for an herrero who will actually stay and complete the job - the last one shot through after taking 6 months to partly complete the work. If you know of such a person I would love to hear from you.

David, You can try Ramon Flores 732-0209. He's done all the windows and doors for me. When you call ask for Ramon Grande. He's overall pretty reliable but like most tradesmen in town splits his day among jobs trying to keep everyone happy. just explain your time line and you should be ok.

We had a similar experience here at the B&B with some security doors that were almost imposible to open and close. We tried 4 different Herreros, all of which assured us that they'd fix our problem , none of which ever showed up! We finally were referred to Maestro Gallo @ 733-1755 or 044 473 103 0608. He came when he said he'd come and removed the doors (including the frames) took them to his shop and returned and reinstalled them later that same day. On time and on-budget!
I don't know how he does with fine ornamental work, but for us he was perfect!

I was very pleased with work done by Jes?s L?pez (call him ?Don Jes?s?), Calle Palomas #15, Marfil, 733-0879. He did only one small, simple job for us, but he did it well, on time, and at the price he promised. His portfolios of the decorative ironwork he's done are impressive.
