I would like to recommend a driver - DML - 08-21-2015
If anyone is looking for a driver to/from the airport I would like to recommend Israel Torres.
In addition to taking up to the airport, he often picks up friends for us when they arrive. It works out well, especially since we don't have a car. Additionally, he is only MX$50 more than the airport taxis and he is from GTO so he knows where to bring your guests when you give him a local address.

He charges MX$500 to pick up or take you to the airport. Israel also does tours to San Miguel de Allende in his vehicle and also here in Guanajuato. You can speak with him about what he charges for these services.
He is trustworthy, reliable and speaks good English.

Israel is great! We have used him many times for trips to and from the airport, as well as trips to Leon and Santa Rosa when my folks were in town. Israel can also get you a small or large truck if needed. Through Israel, his uncle has helped me pick up and drop off artwork for my exhibitions.
