Seeking Hair dresser - Karen Gans - 01-24-2015
Does anyone know if Juanita (formerly Juan) is still cutting hair in Guanajuato? She used to have a shop across from Alhondiga, but doesn't appear to be there currently. Any recommendations for people who cut hair well?

Yes she is now near Cantador park, but the sign says Estetica Junito. It's more comfortable than the old place. I was there on New Year's Eve afternoon and it was quite a party with lots of amigas. If you are in Centro and heading toward Comercial, continue till you get to the intersection with a street coming up from Cantador. You'll see the Seguro Popular building on the corner. Turn left. (the only way to turn) Walk down quite a distance. it's all one block. Stop in at a small restaurant and get a cafe de la olla to take to Juan's and you are almost there. Small opening. Call her cell 473 560 2103 to see when she'll be there. Usually by 10:30. If you drive, come in from Cantador park and there is a small parking lot with nice guys just a little past Juan's on the opposite side of the street.
