Grocery Store Locaions - JeanVH - 01-18-2015
Hello, I will be arriving next month for a two month residence. I've heard that there are two grocery stores in GTO, one called Mega?? and another located "not far from the Mercado Hildago".
Could someone give me some general directions, say from the Historical Central area. I have visited GTO a couple of times in the past so have a vague sense of direction.

There are 2 megas, this is the bigger one, where the cinema also is - called plaza pozuelos:

There is another one further north a bit, they pretty much have the same stuff but are smaller

There is also another mega in town and lots of little stores so it depends on what you are looking for, i mainly go to Plaza de Pozuelos because it is easy and close to my house :) (all the taxis know it too so easy to get to if you get driven the first time)

The other past the Mercado toward the mummies is the Commercial Mexicana.
As a three time visitor I prefer the Mega at the Mall. Newer with IMO a better selection of products,

There's another supermarket, Soriana, in San Javier, accessible by the Presa-San Javier bus.
