FINDING A RENTAL IN GTO - carlusjr - 11-02-2014
Does anyone know of a person or real estate office in GTO that lists rentals or helps finding rentals? I'm living in San Miguel now, where the high rent, the constant tourism, and the noise from explosive fireworks has gotten to me.

Tourism and fireworks are pretty much constant here, too. Do they also have "bandas de guerra" (drum and bugle corps) in SMA? Actually, the noise here that bothers me is church bells; they're OK in moderation, but why do they have to ring them at 3, 4, and 5 AM?

Mexico is not the place to be if you don't like noise. We have lots of it here. Lots of tourists too but many more Mexican tourists than foreigners compared to SMdA.
Check Casa Solaris. They have lots of rentals. You should also check VRBO and airbnb.
Actually, take the bus in and visit some offices. There is another on Sangre de Cristo across from VIPS...but I can't remember the name of it.

I live in Priv de los Arquitectos and I didn't even know that Gto had a church bell problem. Also, the cohetes at 6AM, usually on Sunday have been greatly reduced. Doesn't happen much at all. Our neighbor house is for rent. 4 bedrooms. Actually, I'd say there are 3 plus an extra room. But in the small extra room, turn off the lights by 10PM or it'll be right in my eyes while I'm trying to sleep. I think she wants 7000 or 7500. I can give you the # of the daughter of the owner, who speaks English, just send me a pm. We're above Olga Costa museum, just beyond CFE which is on Pastita.
