Rent increase laws in Mexico? - Gigi Harrison - 07-22-2014 At the expiration of a lease, either residential or commercial, does the Mexican government set the amount of the rent increase? If so, where can I find out how much increase is allowed? Thanks RE: Rent increase laws in Mexico? - NanN - 07-24-2014 The rule in Jalisco for annual rental increases was a maximum of 10% per year for residential. Not sure if that holds for Guanajuato though I never had a rental increase when I lived in Guanajuato. One more thing I remember is that the amount of allowable rental increase (aumento del alquiler) was always specified in my rental contract so perhaps check your rental contract to see what, if anything, is specified. |
