Metropolitano bus to Leon - mr bill - 06-28-2014
We have a vacation rental guest that would like to go to the outlet shoe malls alongside the highway [not the ones near the bus station].
Does anyone know if the green Metropolitanos stop there? And where on the other side of the road the stop will be for a return to GTO?

The answer is "yes", but keep in mind that there are both express and local Metropolitanos; the local ones stop in Silao. And at places like the shoe outlet.
I went downtown after stopping at the shoe outlet (yes, I went to the leather mercado by the downtown bus station) so I didn't get to find out where you catch the bus coming back. Best to ask the driver where it is before you get off on the way in.

Likewise, the "direct" Flecha Amarillas stop at the outlet mall as well. But, always best to ask before boarding the bus. Likewise, need to ask where to catch a Metropolitano or Flecha back to Guanajuato. Not all Metropolitanos head back to the Central Bus Station, but go straight to Dos Rios instead.

Not the original question, but for people getting off at CentroMax, the return stop is now about 150 meters closer to Gto and clearly marked. Another way to think about it is that it's near the next stop of the Oruga (Leon's public transit).
