Sunday, Don and I will leave our "animal rich" ranch here in Guanajuato. We brought six dogs, 2 cats, and 2 horses to our rural MX homestead from AZ. In the last six years, some died, and we adopted more. Finding high quality, consistently reliable medical and grooming care was very important to us. In 2008, Tsaya was a middle aged Blue Healer mixed with wolf or coyote. He had been "hit" in his eye by a rattlesnake a few days before making a two day journey by truck from Arizona to GTO. Our USA vet gave him no chance of keeping that eye, or having any sight in it. It took months, but Mora of Clinica Veterinaria CanCat saved his eye, and his sight. We had 4.5 more years of loyal companionship from him. Mora's husband, Miguel was both skilled and kind beyond words to us many times when an animal's life was slipping away. Also, Miguel works like a trojan as a volunteer at each Amigos de Animales spay and neuter clinic.
The last few weeks we have made the complicated plans to move two poodles from GTO, MX, to Ecuador, SA.
