Temporary home needed for mama dog and her puppies - Sandra Ward - 05-14-2013
Mama Dog was abandoned in Las Teresas just before she gave birth to seven puppies. The neighbors have decided to adopt her but do not have a safe place for her puppies, as they live on a busy street and have no garden or enclosed patio.
An American visitor has been caring for them for the past week and enjoying every minute of the experience, but she is returning to the US on May 21. The puppies need to be fostered until June 27, when they will be ready for sterilization and adoption. We need to find a foster caregiver between May 20 and June 27 who has a safe place for the mother and her puppies.
A volunteer from Amigos de los Animales will deliver Mama, her puppies, and their kennel to the foster home on May 20th and pick them up on June 27th. Mama and her puppies will then be sterilized and vaccinated at Amigos?s expense (donations are welcome), Mama will return to her former home in Las Teresas, and the puppies will be offered for adoption through the veterinarians who work with Amigos.
