Apple MacBook Pro tools - marriedwithluggage - 02-03-2013 Hello everyone, My wife, Betsy, and I arrived yesterday and plan to be enjoying the wonderful area for ~6 months while we write our next project. Sadly, our first day we encountered what appears to be a hard-drive failure on a Macbook Pro. Would anyone happen to have a set of tools to open a Macbook Pro? I'd like to pull out the hard drive and see if it is the issue. On a similar note, does anyone happen to have a Mac they are looking to sell? Sadly I barely missed Dustin on his way out of town. Looking forward to meeting many of you while we're enjoying the area. Thank you, Warren RE: Apple MacBook Pro tools - The Duck - 02-03-2013 Warren I have a set of small tools for electronics - the Phillps is small enough for me to remove and replace HD's on a Dell laptop. There are also flat heads and Torx drivers. You're welcome to borrow them if they would help. I know there's a 00 screwdriver in there, and if a spudger is what I think it is, I've got that, too. RE: Apple MacBook Pro tools - mcontreras - 02-14-2013 I don't have any tools. However, if you need help fixing it or do need to buy a new one, there is an Apple store in Le?n in Plaza Mayor. RE: Apple MacBook Pro tools - marriedwithluggage - 02-14-2013 Thank you for the information. I was afraid we were going to need to head all the way to Mexico City. You saved us a long ride. Muchas gracias. RE: Apple MacBook Pro tools - mcontreras - 02-14-2013 Glad to hear that :) We just bought our Mac there a few months ago. |
