The toll changed to 26 pesos on the first of January.

No matter how ordinary the car - or extraordinary for that matter, as long as it has just two ejes the 2013 cuota is 26 pesos - goes up every January 1 by 1 peso - it was 8 pesos when I first used it.
If you are a frequent traveler on the autopista you can buy a pre-paid toll card[Tarjeta de proximidad] which gives you a 20% discount. Go into the office [closed traditional lunch time] fill out a form, pay [was] 30 pesos for the card and load it with a minimum of 200 pesos. When you deplete your balance you can replenish it in 200 peso increments at the caseta [unless you want a factura in which case you need to go back to the office] The card is also valid on one other road somewhere around Celeya I think.
