The blog is entertaining and has some good information on Mexican customs, but I wouldn't trust it for Spanish lessons. Sorry to be an aguafiestas, but I chose two of the dialogs at random and found quite a few errors.
Better resources for learning Spanish can be found with a Google search.

I like it for the slang he picks up from his wife's family and for the flow of the dialog.
