Water Rationing Starts Monday - laconstance - 12-09-2011 In this morning's newspaper A.M., the headline story is about the cutoff of water by SIMAPAG, beginning Monday. According to the article in the newspaper, this is being done in order to accomplish replacement of waterpipes and valves over the next two weeks, and the pattern will be two days of NO WATER, following one day of water. The city is being divided into two zones to accomplish this, and the cutoffs will be on rotation. The actual newspaper article was rather complete, including zones, names of streets, and actual schedule. I am sorry to say that the online version is sketchy: http://www.am.com.mx/Nota.aspx?ID=514977 I could not find any notice on the SIMAPAG web site. SIMAPAG says that the project will conclude on December 26. RE: Water Rationing Starts Monday - admin - 12-09-2011 ADMIN NOTE This is not the Tandeo [Distribution/Rationing] that should occur before April. Hair splitting -These water cuts are for maintenance - but of course the effect can be the same. Check your tinaco periodically. If you run out of water and have to clear your system of air it is a pain but there is a mas o menos simple solution. Once your tinaco refills shut off its outlet to your household system. Next open every llave [faucet]. Next open the llave from the tinaco to the household system. The lines will burp but should clear pretty soon. Once each llave is running well shut it off as this speeds up the process further done the line. In my set-up I have over 50 llaves to clear. I'm set-up in zones but it still takes 90 minutes on average to get the air out. SIMAPAG and CEAG are recommending that everyone put in a 600ml or so refresco bottle in each toilet to save water on flushes ? it adds up |
