Recommendations for a notary? - Mickey - 11-21-2011
Hi group: I'm looking for recommendations on notaries for processing
house closings. I've used Gabriel Santoscoy and was very pleased with
his services. Are there other notaries that you have actual experience
with that you recommend? Also any notaries that should be avoided?

I highly recommend Pedro V?zquez Nieto, who oversaw our house closing. The entrance to his office is inside (yes) the T?nel Santa Fe, just up from Positos. I believe he's bilingual, if that matters.

We enjoyed a totally positive, cost competitve and rapid lot purchase closing using Lic. Maria del Carmen Nieto Vega. She is NP No. 19.

Mickey, I believe you mean Notario as in Notarios Publicos [see section 1.2 on Mexico]*
If you do mean "Notary" as it is used in the US then your only option -within Mexico- is at a US Consulate and fees will apply.
