RE: Banking question - wwintermute - 01-30-2017 Logged in Online, from the BOA Web page you would select: Transfers/At Other Banks In the From section, you would select your BOA account In the To section, you would click (Add account/recipient) You would select the International radio button and fill out the info for the Mexican Bank Account you are wire transferring the money to. You'll need to provide your account's CLABE number and select your bank by name, or enter the Swift Code associated with the Mexican bank. If you have any questions, I'd call BOA's toll free number and communicate with your Mexican bank as to what numbers are needed to a wire transfer. BOA helped me setting this up. RE: Banking question - jesm - 01-30-2017 Fantastic cannot thank you or our Board enough. Hassle all gone. RE: Banking question - Laura Brown - 01-31-2017 Bank of America is now associated with Scotia bank and not Santander. There are no ATM fees from either Scotia or BoA, but you do get hit with a foreign transaction fee, which I believe is 3%. Check out Xoom.com They are a subsidiary of PayPal and I believe they will transfer any amount of money for one set fee and works with BoA. I just found out about this myself, so I have no experience with them. Have fun in Guanajuato! RE: Banking question - jesm - 02-01-2017 While their formal alliance has ended Santander continues to not charge an ATM useage fee for BoA customers. You do see the 3% foreign transaction fee out of the BoA account. |
