Yes. You would be getting out at Sam's Club, across the street from Costco/Home Despot etc.

Thanks for all your help, everyone. I just emailed the helpful office next to the SMA Migracion office and found out I do indeed have to start the process again from scratch. At least that saved me a trip to Leon!

Hub and I have our appt scheduled with the Mexican consulate in Sacramento. We worked with Sonia Diaz soniadiaz.mx She has been incredibly responsive via email and was kind enough to make our appointments for us when my Spanish was not quite good enough to get through the toll-free appointment line process. We will be using Sonia when we get back to GTO to complete the process for our permanente. Her website contains a wealth of information about all things Mexico. I highly recommend it and her.
